Rationed Progress

Doug Williams was the first black quarterback to start a Super Bowl game. This year, for the first time -- 35 years later, black quarterbacks will start for both teams in the Super Bowl. I don't see this as progress. It is an example of the pace at which equality is doled out in America. 35 years is half a lifetime. To celebrate this is to accept rationed equality. #whattheyshouldsay
