For those of us who are accused of being “woke,” it’s time to wake up.
Seriously.
Last week, the State of Alabama defunded diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in all state-run offices. In response, people of color and those who have been historically excluded, should boycott Alabama state schools (and those of other states with similar "anti-woke" laws) -- including playing for their football, basketball, and other teams. Diversity is a two-way street. If it's not, let's turn it into a dead end.
PLAYERS of color and conscience should not play for Alabama, Auburn, or any "anti-woke" state school. They should go elsewhere -- until the State of Alabama and other drowsy states wakes up.
